| Description: | Safety, health and environmental protection are among the priority areas to which increased attention is paid in the EU. Harmonization of Czech legislation, convergence of approaches and consistent implementation of OSH requirements into practice therefore constitutes one of the basic conditions for EU accession. The project deals with an important part of this harmonization: the comparability of statistical data on occupational injury rate, enabling the right direction of occupational injury prevention at the national level across the entire EU. Part of the project is the preparation of background information for the modification of legal standards and statistical reports so that they comply with the requirements for the OSH management in the Czech Republic and meet EU requirements. As there is a considerable lack of uniformity in the use of technical terms in the field of OSH, the terminological explanatory and translation vocabulary of OSH was elaborated as part of the task in 2002. |
