Description: | Economic growth is not limited only by the speed of technological development, but also by the demographic situation in the Czech Republic and in the EU as a whole. In the labour market, the general problem is the lack of people and specific professions. There are three possible solutions: to support demographic growth, to influence the education system in a targeted way and to support the influx of labour from abroad. In the latter case, it is possible to realistically consider mainly the workforce from countries outside the EU or from economically poorer areas of the Union. The first two methods are long-term, the third one is relatively fast. It requires “mere” import of labour. The problem here is mainly the workforce coming from outside Europe, often from diametrically different cultural and social conditions and with different historical experience. Our occupational safety system (culture) is based on historical experience and principles that have been developed over the last approximately one hundred years. At the forefront there is the human being and the protection of his or her health, which prides itself on the prevention of risk conditions. In the case of non-European workers, not only the language barrier, but also the recognition of authorities and compliance with rules whose need may not be fully understood by the uninvolved person may be problematic. Therefore, the aim of the research task is to map the current situation in the labour market and to define areas where labour shortages can be solved by the influx of foreign workers. Here it is necessary to analyse the possibilities of foreign labour supply and to look for problematic areas related to these workers and possible problems in the field of culture and customs. If necessary, also risks, prevention options and appropriate measures for specific groups of foreigners, for example with regard to age, gender, religion, origin, etc., should be defined. |
