Description:The issue of nanoparticle hazards at the workplace and their impact on employees is highly topical. This issue is an important part of the strategic and conceptual documents of the department with regard to occupational safety and health. In the past, the project TB03MPSV005 Verification of respiratory protection against nanoparticles by means of PPE (2016, Technology Agency of the CR, BETA programme) was implemented, the output of which was a modified method for measuring filtration efficiency or overall leakage of personal protective equipment for the capture of nanoparticles. The aim of this project is to create an expanded method of assessing the hazards of nanoparticles at workplaces across sectors, in particular with a focus on the manufacturing industry, see the CZ-NACE Classification of Economic Activities. It will take into account the type of environment – enclosed spaces, spaces with controlled atmosphere. In connection with this, the possibilities of prevention against negative impacts of nanoparticles on the health of employees, reduction of risks in this area, and overall strengthening of the OSH level will be specified.
