The Occupational Safety Research Institute signed up to the principles enshrined in the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers on 30 June 2020 and adapted the strategic management of the research institute in line with the conditions for gaining an “HR Award for Researchers”.
The Occupational Safety Research Institute aims to gain the HR AWARD certificate which is conferred by the European Commission on research institutes implementing the HRS4R strategy (The Human Resources Strategy for Researchers) based on these principles.

The benefits of implementation of HRS4R for the Occupational Safety Research Institute and researchers:
The HR Award project should provide significant support for the development of the capabilities, knowledge and skills of employees of the Occupational Safety Research Institute with a focus on the strategic management of research and development. It should subsequently contribute towards ensuring that the strategic management of research and development at this research institute is in line with the conditions set out by the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers.
The principles of the IPMA project methodology are applied in the implementation of the HRS4R strategy (The Human Resources Strategy for Researchers) and projects for the introduction of the programme at the Occupational Safety Research Institute.
